This hands-on, intensive and comprehensive training introduces professional airbrush makeup techniques. It is aimed at both experienced makeup artists and those intending to work in makeup for film, TV, theatre and fashion.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Introduction to:
- airbrush systems and air supply sources
- health & safety; contra indications
- setting up equipment, cleaning and maintenance
- airbrushing techniques: freehand and stencil
- application of body art, washable tattoos and tropical tan (which lasts 4-5 days)
- makeup application (foundations, transparent vs opaque look shading/highlighting, use of stencils)
- hair art application (hair adornments, colouration and scalp covering)
- business planning and marketing structure
Course Duration
2 days or 5 days (classes 10am-4.30pm daily)

• Mastering airbrush techniques on models
• Tanning and stencils demonstration
• Practising body tanning and stencils
• Working towards final project on day 5

• Prosthetics for experienced make-up artists (optional)

WHO IS TEACHING?
Our Principal Tutors:
JILL HAGGER build up an international reputation as a makeup artist, with assignments in film, commercials, print, music, arts and entertainment. Jill trained as a beauty therapist before joining the BBC (1972-1997). She is a visiting tutor at Greasepaint and other media makeup schools. Her credits include: “The Lost World”, “Victoria Station”, “Great Expectations”, “Hi De Hi”, “The Royal Variety Performance” to Glyndebourne Operas, “Poldark” and “The House Of Eliott” and “The Bill”.. She continues to work as a freelance make-up and hair designer in film and television.
SHAUNA HARRISON trained at the BBC. She has worked on a variety of programmes including drama, light entertainment and dramatised documentaries. In 1988 she won a BAFTA and Royal Television Society Award for her outstanding work on Tumbledown. She has been lecturing at other makeup schools and colleges in London.
SHARON CRAWFORD is an artist covering many styles and media. She has an MA in Illustration from Syracuse University (NY). She works with traditional painting techniques as well as fantasy work with airbrush. Her experience is in everything from ancient tribal arts to avant-garde airbrush cosmetics; from bridal makeup, fantasy, stage set design painting to airbrushing on clothing, work on automotives, airbrush illustrations, special effects on any surface. She worked on many assignments for independent clients as well as advertising companies.
